How tuition works

What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the stage, the length of the class and how many classes a week a family takes. Babies and Toddlers classes are thirty minutes and Preschoolers forty-five. A session runs eight weeks. The enrollment page shows Float's figures, and we are glad to talk them through by phone.

Registration

A yearly registration covers your family's file and the placement visit. It is due when you register for your first session, and it is once a year.

Holding a place

The first month of tuition holds a place in a class. If a class has a waitlist, offers go out in the order families asked, and we call or text the same day a place opens. If your child moves up a stage mid-session, the place moves with them.

Billing

Tuition is billed monthly, with autopay if you like. A month with five classes in it is billed the same as a month with four, and the enrollment page shows each month before it is billed.

Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another class of the same stage within the session, space allowing. When the pool closes for the recreation center's maintenance, we make the class up too, and illness is handled the same way. Tell us as early as you can.

Siblings

A second child in the family is handled differently from the first. Each child comes with an adult, so ask us when you register and we will walk you through it.

Help with tuition

Ask us whether assistance is open this month. We handle each request privately.

Uniforms, costumes and other costs

A swim diaper for children under 3, a swim shirt if you like, a hair tie and towels come from home. The recreation center asks for the swim diaper, and swim shirts are welcome in every class.
