Questions families ask
How do I know which stage to choose?
Book a placement visit. The instructor spends a little time in the water with you and your child, then suggests a stage. Ages are a guide, not a rule.
What is a stage?
A stage is a group of classes for a range of ages: Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers. Each has a color dot you will see on the schedule.
How long is a class?
Babies and Toddlers classes are thirty minutes, and Preschoolers classes are forty-five. Arrive fifteen minutes early to rinse and settle in.
What should we bring?
A towel for each of you, a swim diaper for children under 3, a change of clothes and a warm layer. Swim shirts are welcome in every class.
Who is in the water with my child?
You are, or another adult you choose. An adult is in the water with every child in every class. The instructor leads from the step or beside you.
What if my child has had enough?
We get out and try again another day. You can stop at any time, and the instructor will not ask you to keep going.
What if we miss a class?
Tell us as early as you can, and we will offer a make-up class in the same stage within the session, space allowing.
What if the pool closes?
The recreation center sometimes closes the pool for maintenance or holidays. We text families as soon as we know, and the class is made up in the same session.
How does tuition work?
It depends on the stage, the class length and how many classes a week you take. The enrollment page shows our figures, and the page on how tuition works explains each part.
How do we start?
Book a placement visit. After it, the instructor suggests a stage and a class time, and you register on the enrollment page.
